Kids Christmas Craft Classes

Why craft with me?
I'll have all the supplies ready to assemble and you or your kids will go home with a cute craft.  I've been making crafts since I was 8 years old, so over 25 years.  I'm a well rounded crafter as I've done painting, scrapbooking, stamping and paper crafting.  If you think you're not a crafter-believe me I can teach you how to be!

I hope your kids will join me in creating some fun things on Monday, December 5.  See below for the projects being offered and their times.  Please email me at flwrgirl@gmail.com to sign up and let me know the class(es) you are interested in and who will be taking them and their ages.  Please bring exact change with you to pay for the class.  Feel free to email me with any questions that you have.

Looking forward to crafting with your kids!

Autumn Garland

See that garland above on my mantle?  I love the large leaves and it makes such a big statement in the room.  I saw these thick felt placemats at Bed, Bath and Beyond the other day for $1.99 each and knew immediately what I wanted to do with them.  I picked 5 up to make a garland-2 pumpkins and 3 different colored leaves.   This garland is super easy and the basic parts took 5 min. literally.

First, buy 3-5 placemats.  3 placemats work great for a regular mantle or 5 for a large mantle.  I was going to use all 5 on my mantle, but it was way too big so I ended up using them in 2 places which ended up being perfect.

Ok, let's make this easy garland.

Place them overlapping however you would like and pin on the back.  The thick felt placemats work perfectly for this.  You could also handstitch them in place if you wanted..

Find a perfectly matching piece of ribbon and thread it through the slits on the leaves.

You can stop here or do a little embellishing.

I cut out some letters to spell fall on my cricut-the Cindy Loo cartridge at 7 1/2" in fall colors.  I punched holes in my letters and added jump rings through the letters.  I tied it onto the ribbon threaded through the leaf.

I then filled up a small bottle with glitter and pinned that onto the leaf ribbon as well.

Doesn't it look so cool on the mantle?  The placemats are so huge and make a statement!

If you want to make another decoration using two placemants, then turn them over and pin together a pumpkin and leaf and place on your table and add decorations.

Seriously so easy and perfect fall colors!
